question regarding the import documents feature.
not much documentation on this so asking whether or not the import documents from a shared network drive actually imports the file into the sharepoint document library directory or just scans through the files and imports data about the file then when accessing
the file pulls it from the network share (I want the later one as a space limitation on the server as well as having a duplicate copy would be kind of silly)
so, does it
import and creates a copy of the file
creates a listing of the files in the directory and accesses them via the mapped drive from the server?
